Acer palmatum dissectumTamukeyama'

As new improved red laceleaf cultivars supplant old selections it is a testimony of unquestionable quality that `Tamukeyama' has survived the test of time. First listed in 1710 in Japan, this rediscovered tree is now generating great interest because of its ability to maintain its dark purple-red color even in the hot, humid summers typical of the eastern U.S. Extremely vigorous for a laceleaf cultivar with long cascading branches. Leaves are bold and coarsely dissected compared with other selections.
