Cephalotaxus (Plum Yew)
The genus Cephalotaxus is commonly referred to as a Japanese Plum Yew because of their close resemblance to traditional yews (Taxus) and their edible plum-like fruit. Iseli Nursery only grows a select few cultivars of the species Cephalotaxus, harringtonia. Most lauded for their ability to tolerate shade and to resist foraging deer, this versatile group of plants have many different uses in landscapes. Native to Korea, China, and Japan, Cephalotaxus is hardy to USDA Zone 6 and warmer areas of Zone 5.
