Spreading Japanese Plum Yew
Waves of deep green needles accentuate the undulating, horizontal branches of the broad, spreading Cephalotaxus harringtonia ‘Prostrata’. In spring, beautiful lime-green growth sets the stage for clusters of prominent pollen cones that open on older wood. Plants prefer shade and they look great in groups beneath larger trees. When established, this deer resistant cultivar from Hillier’s Nursery, England, tolerates drought and heat too.
