Pseudotsuga (Douglas Fir)
Commonly known as Douglas Fir, the species Pseudotsuga menziesii is iconic in the Pacific Northwest; in fact, Oregon claims the species as its state tree. While these trees grow to be massive sizes in the wild, Iseli Nursery offers cultivars that are manageable garden sizes and show off the variability of the genus. With a wide range of colors, shapes, and sizes available, Doug Fir can be a great addition to your landscape. All thrive in moist, acid soils and prefer full sun, but they will happily grow in a variety of conditions. Hardiness varies among cultivars.
