Thuja (Arborvitae and Western Red Cedar)
There are two major species of this popular genus that Iseli Nursery propagates: Thuja occidentalis, commonly known as Arborvitae or “tree of life”, and Thuja plicata, known as Western Red Cedar. Both are hardy, durable, and adaptable conifer species that develop unique natural variation, resulting in many new and exciting cultivars. These minimal-maintenance plants, available in many colors, shapes and growth rates, perform well in a variety of garden situations, from screens and hedging to distinctive focal points. Both species will tolerate partial shade and a wide range of soil types.
