Tsuga (Hemlock)
The genus Tsuga, commonly called hemlock, is comprised of graceful, finely textured evergreen trees, from which Iseli Nursery offers an exciting assortment of garden-worthy cultivars from five species. These elegant selections, many of them dwarf and slow growing, perform best in cool, moist northern climates. Hemlock are shade tolerant, respond well to shearing, and appreciate well drained, acidic soil. Choice cultivars offer a range of options: brightly colored foliage with unique spring growth; pyramidal, mounding and irregular shapes; and various sizes for small and large spaces.
