Dawson’s Canadian Hemlock
Extremely attractive tufts of short, bright green needles give the gracefully arching shoots of this compact, multi-stemmed plant a dense look. Selected by Jackson Dawson at the Hunnewell Arboretum in 1927, Tsuga canadensis ‘Dawsoniana’ grows slowly, but attains a full, bushy form. Among the most attractive of the wide-leafed cultivars.
