Chinese Hemlock
Chinese hemlock is a graceful ornamental alternative to the native eastern hemlock that is highly resistant to the hemlock wooly adelgid, which has devastated the native hemlock population in this part of the United States. This conical tree has ascending branches with elegantly drooping branchlets, which are ornamented with petite cones in fall. A fine choice for hedging material in pest infested areas. Our selection is from a plant at the Morris Arboretum in Pennsylvania that was planted in 1948.
