Buxus x ‘Green Velvet’ is a naturally compact boxwood which is very useful as a foundation plant or planted closely for a low hedge or classic knot garden. The glossy bright green leaves will hold their color all year and the compact, broadly mounding form assures that maintenance will be minimal. ‘Green Velvet’ responds beautifully to shearing if the gardener envisions a more formal usage.
