Little Sango Japanese Maple
This compact version of ‘Sango kaku’ is a rare cultivar that offers unparalleled winter interest. A twiggy, well-branched habit and moderate growth rate make the scarlet bark on young branches look especially vibrant. New leaves emerge chartreuse in spring before maturing to deep green and glow with bright gold and orange tones in fall. Thanks to its small size, this extraordinary specimen will do well planted in a container or in the ground.
